New U.S. Treasury Team to Join CRT

Yesterday, five employees resigned from RBS with the intention of joining CRT after their short gardening leaves are up. Four of these individuals represent the best of the best in the U.S. Treasury market, with the fifth representing the best of the best managers in fixed income and equity operations - they are:

David Ader: For the past 3 years David was named to the Institutional Investor First Team as the #1 Government Strategist. David’s outstanding research/strategy of the U.S. Treasury and Agency markets was a major contributing factor behind RBS Greenwich Capital’s success in these products (RBS is ranked #1 in government sales by Orion Associates – an independent consulting firm).

Ian Lyngen: David’s senior associate on the Government Strategy desk. Prior to joining RBS Greenwich Capital, Ian worked on the Open Market Desk of the N.Y. Federal Reserve.

Marx Bowens: Marx joined Greenwich Capital in 1993 and through diligence, hard work and talent is now widely (and justifiably) recognized as one of the most outstanding and successful Primary Dealership traders in the market. Marx is coming to build out our U.S. Treasury effort with the ultimate intention of CRT becoming a top 5 Primary Dealer. Marx’s title will be Head of U.S. Treasury and Agency Debt.

Jay Moskowitz: Jay was a 20 year veteran of Greenwich Capital and (like Marx) brings with him a highly successful track record as a trader of U.S. Treasury products. Jay’s specialties are TIPS, STRIPS and Bonds which dovetails nicely with Marx’s focus on 10 years and in.

Bryan Burns: Not included in the U.S. Treasury team specifically, Bryan comes to CRT from his position at RBS as Head of U.S. Fixed Income and Equity Operations. Bryan was also a 22 year veteran of Greenwich Capital and will bring his outstanding experience and energy to CRT as the Head of Operations.
