CRT BIOMED
Unique Partnership
The relationship between CRT BioMed LLC and CRT Capital Group LLC was
established to broaden the reach of CRT Capital's investment research efforts
into companies centered in biotechnology, pharmacology and related areas. The
relationship was founded on the view that investment research into these highly
specific areas requires an extraordinary depth of experience and expertise
generally not available in the normal course of institutional research
undertakings. Through their educational backgrounds, active medical and
consultation practices, and current hospital and academic appointments at
Harvard Medical School, CRT BioMed's team brings to CRT Capital the ability to
analyze with unique insight and deep comprehension the development, licensing
and end-use opportunities of a wide range of biomed/pharma products. Beyond the
contractual consultation relationship, CRT BioMed LLC is an independent entity
and is not a part of CRT Capital Group LLC.
Insight and Expertise
CRT BioMed, led by Dr. Stuart Mushlin and currently comprised of doctors from
Harvard Medical School, is designed to house additional senior medical and
science professionals in selected specialties from other universities on a
project-specific basis. The ability of CRT BioMed's team to assess the
opportunities of both established products and products still in the
development stage, when combined with CRT Capital's abilities to overlay
sophisticated financial and investment analyses, enables CRT Capital to
evaluate and anticipate both the operational and financial dynamics of
biotechnology and pharmacology companies and the investment merits of the
securities at each tier of the target companies' capital structures.
CRT BIOMED's team consists of four doctors from Harvard Medical School and
