Risk Management is a strategic focus at CRT, having instituted an Enterprise Risk Management framework designed to be scalable to match anticipated expansion of the business, while delivering capabilities which are consistent with industry best practices. 

Board of Managers Risk Committee
  • Governing body for all risk management-related matters
  • Approves CRT's level limits / risk appetite
  • Authorizes VaR limits; Stress Test limits, and Stop / Loss limits
Enterprise Risk Committee
  • Chaired by Andreas Gocksch, Chief Risk Officer and composed of senior executives
  • Reviews trading and counterparty credit limits
  • Reviews risk positions, risk profile, aging status of positions
  • Reviews trader pricing / modeling issues
Market Risk Credit Risk Compliance Risk
  • Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer are Ross Killian (Head of Market Risk), Tony Becraft (Chief Credit Officer) and David Amster (Head of Compliance Risk)
  • These groups are responsible for ensuring the Company's adherence to the limits / policies / directives from the Board and Enterprise Risk Committees
  • Monitor and report market / credit risks
  • Enforce risk limits / position limits
  • Perform risk analytics including VaR, stress testing and scenario testing
  • Work with business lines to achieve risk-adjusted returns
Business Lines / Limit Owners
  • Monitor status of limit utilization at all times
  • Ensure business is conducted within allocated limits
  • Coordinate with risk management groups for limit changes
